Clogged Inkjet Print Heads，what a disturbing thing&how should we clean it?

   In the sublimation industry, people often encounter the blockage of inkjet print heads. It's really a headache. . Over time, ink can dry in those tiny holes, blocking the flow of ink and making your printer unusable, causing printer errors or just bad print quality. This problem usually occurs when printer is not used frequently. So how do we solve it?
Self-Cleaning Printers
    If the printing head is blocked, most printers have an automatic cleaning function, which automatically clears the head.Use the printer utility to run this cycle. You will need to repeat it multiple times to see results. You should also recognize that the cleaning cycle does use lots of ink, but it is still better than replacing the cartridge completely.Often this will resolve the problem.

Manually Cleaning
   If automatic cleaning is unsuccessful, there are several other methods you can use.
1.Determine where the print head is located from the product manual. For example, EPSON printers are usually in printers. Many other brands put the print head in the ink box.

2.Remove the cartridge. For the print head located in the printer model, drop seven to 10 drops of isopropanol (rub alcohol) into the ink container area. This is the hole in the ink that flows from the cartridge to the head. Run some self cleaning tools. If necessary, allow yourself to sit for hours or overnight, and repeat the self cleaning utility.
3.If the print head is in the cartridge, immerse the ink cartridge head in hot water. Allow soaking overnight. Wipe the head area with a paper towel. Repeat the self cleaning utility.
4.If hot water soaking does not work, the cartridge print head is placed in isopropanol. Let the print head soak in the alcohol for the night. Wipe out the print head area with a wet paper towel. Be careful with dry. Try the self cleaning utility again.
5.If none of these measures work, you will need to replace the print cartridge. If your printer has the heads built in, this usually means replacing the entire printer, since replacement heads cost nearly as much as a new printer.

    The clogging of the printer head is a nuisance and it costs extra money. With a little maintenance, you can save the trouble of cleaning them, and also make the cartridge use as long as possible.
