I believe many customers have encountered this problem, the printer can not print after replacing ink cartridges. Why?This usually occurs when the printer does not recognize the ink cartridge or "thinks " It is still empty. These issues will become more common if the empty cartridge chassis is reloaded. How can we solve it?
1.Remove Protective Tape
Most cartridges are equipped with a small protective tape covering the print nozzles. The adhesive tape blocks the nozzle to prevent the ink from leaking during storage or transportation.Remove the cartridge from the printer and look for the tape. Its color may vary depending on the model of the cartridge. Don't remove any other stickers or labels on the cartridge. These seal the cartridge so the ink doesn't dry out. If you remove the label, the ink can dry out rapidly.
2.Reset Ink Cartridge Counter
Your printer may not recognize the new ink cartridge, or the ink counter may read it as empty. Many printers have a cartridge reset function which forces the machine to recognize the cartridge as new.Lift the clamp securing the cartridge, but don't remove the cartridge from the printer. Shut the clamp and press "Load/Eject" again. Consult your printer's user manual to learn the reset process for your printer.
3.Run Extended Cleaning Cycle
If your ink cartridge is kept for a long time, the ink may start drying.Running extended cleaning cycles may correct problems and help printer identify ink cartridges. Please check if the printer has a "clean" button and press or hold it for a few seconds. Read the printer manual to learn how to run clean cycles on your computer. After running the cleaning cycle, print the test page to determine if the printer can be printed again.
4.Refilled Cartridge Problems
Reloading cartridges will save you money, but reloading cartridges has its own set of possible problems. If the ink cartridge is not properly filled, the printer may not be able to print. When you fill a cartridge, the ink sometimes doesn't make it all the way to the bottom of the reservoir. By removing the ink cartridge and injecting more ink into the sponge through the outlet hole, this problem can be solved. Bubbles will also be trapped inside the cartridge, blocking the ink flow. Allow ink cartridges not to be used in about an hour, giving bubbles a chance to remove them. If the problem persists, please unload the cartridge and gently put it on the table to remove bubbles.
