What are the differences between the Epson DX5 and DX7 ?

    DX5 and DX7 are highly efficient print head in the printing industry.But about the difference between them,do you know?
1.When comparing two printing heads, the first thing to see is their specifications. The EPSON DX5 head can be compatible with solvent and Eco-solvent inks with the native resolution of 1440 dpi and the 1440 nozzles arranged in the 8 lines( 8*180 nozzle). Its emission frequency is 8kHz, and the smallest droplet size is 1.5 picolitres.
    EPSON DX7 can also be compatible with solvent and eco solvent ink. It has 540 nozzles arranged in 6 lines(6*90) and 1440 dpi resolution, and the droplet size is the same as 1.5 picolitres at 8kHz.
2.Epson DX5 and DX7 Performance 
    Although the printing work of each sprinkler is different, the two heads are evaluated according to their speed on printing a full size A4 image, although their

specifications look similar, but this is the place where the difference is displayed.EPSON DX5 took only 64 seconds to print the whole page, while DX7 spent 111. Speed, of course, does not mean everything, but also the quality of printing. DX7 provides a slower speed, but maintains a high quality output. DX5 provides a little higher quality at a faster rate. 
3.Epson DX5 and DX7 Suitability
    The biggest difference between the two heads is not the speed you want, but the actual operating cost. The cost of DX5 is more expensive, and there is also an expensive maintenance cost for the sprinkler. In contrast, EPSON DX7 has relatively low cost. In this way, slower printing is acceptable.  
    So if you can accept the lower print speed, the Epson DX7 can offer significant savings in running costs, but if you want the fastest prints without sacrificing quality, and running costs are not too much of a worry for you, then the Epson DX5 is the head to choose.
